Brandon Tralenberg

Brandon Tralenberg joined Haryett & Co. in 2008 after graduating from the Faculty
of Law program at the University of Alberta. Brandon’s university education focused
on skills in Advocacy and Negotiation, and he was a two time competitor in the Jessup
International Law Moot Court Competition. Brandon continues to be involved in the
program, annually volunteering his time to help judge practice advocacy rounds for the
University of Alberta Team. Brandon’s undergraduate education was in History and
Classics, also at the University of Alberta.

Brandon is a life-long Alberta resident, having grown up on a farm outside the town
of Drayton Valley. He has followed in the footsteps of his father, who is a long-time
Criminal Defence lawyer practicing in the Wetaskiwin area. Brandon grew up working in
the family law office, and following his father to various Courts in the province. He was
groomed from a young age into the legal field, and has followed the family footsteps into
the practice of Criminal Law.

Brandon has lived abroad and travelled extensively, enjoying the experience of living
in different cultures and amongst people of varying backgrounds. He also is an active
sport enthusiast, focusing mainly on hockey, rugby, soccer, and has trained extensively in
various martial arts such as Jeet Kun Doe, Savate and Ju-Jitsu, to name a few.

Brandon has dedicated himself to being a zealous advocate that recognizes that people
sometimes make poor decisions and mistakes that can greatly impact their lives. He has
focused on adapting his skills in advocacy and negotiation to not only the courtroom, but
also with his interactions with the general public. His client-centered approach means
that he strives for the best results that are in the best interests of his clients. Brandon
firmly believes that his role is to represent, and is adamant in listening to the interests and
concerns most important to his clients.

Brandon’s family is of Metis descent, and Brandon is a proud member of the Metis
Nation of Alberta. He currently resides in Sherwood Park, is married to his high school
sweetheart, and has a wonderful son who dominates much of his time and attention.
